LAURENT PAQUIN NARRATES MICHEL TREMBLAY

ON DECEMBER 19, 20 AND 21, 2017 FOR THE OSM’S TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS TALE, UNDER THE DIRECTION OF KENT NAGANO

The Christmas tradition ushered in by Kent Nagano and Fred Pellerin in 2011 will carry on again this year, under the direction of the Maestro. Lovers of both classical music and literature will be delighted to hear the Orchestra resound to a tale from the indispensable Michel Tremblay, Le Diable en canot d’écorce (The Devil in a Birch Bark Canoe), in a staging by René-Richard Cyr.

Antoine Bertrand, who was originally announced as narrator for the program, has found himself obliged to withdraw from the project. In his place, well-known singer-songwriter, actor and humorist Laurent Paquin will bring to life the story inspired by the Québec folktale Chasse-Galerie (The Flying Canoe). Audiences at these festive and musical evenings are guaranteed to fall under the spell of this multifaceted artist’s quick humor and gift for narrative.

Tickets are available online at OSM.CA, over the phone by dialing 514 842-9951, or in person at Maison symphonique de Montréal.
